Big Rig Glass has two locations serving the greater Portland area — one in Portland and one in Wilsonville, Oregon. Both locations carry a large inventory of glass on hand, so same-day and next-day service is available at either shop. Mobile service is also available if you can't come to us.
Yes. We offer mobile windshield replacement, auto glass repair, and ADAS calibration for customers who can't make it into the shop. Our mobile technicians come to your home, workplace, fleet yard, or job site — wherever is most convenient for you.
Every technician at Big Rig Glass is Sika and AGSC certified, meeting the auto glass industry's highest standards for installation safety, quality, and technique. You can trust that your vehicle is in qualified hands from the first step to the last.
Yes. Big Rig Glass works with all major insurance companies. We handle the documentation and help guide you through the claims process so you can focus on getting back on the road, not paperwork.
We do. Big Rig Glass proudly offers discounts for active military, veterans, and first responders. It's one of the ways we give back to the people who serve and protect our communities every day.
We service virtually every vehicle type — cars, SUVs, trucks, semi trucks, RVs, buses, work vans, fleet vehicles, and heavy equipment. If it has glass, there's a good chance we can help. Call us and we'll let you know right away what we can do for your specific vehicle.
It matters more than most people realize. Using power tools or extractors during removal can damage your dash, headliner, and pinch weld — leading to rust, leaks, and reduced vehicle value. At Big Rig Glass we use a wire cut-out system that eliminates that risk entirely and protects your vehicle throughout the process.
ADAS stands for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems — the technology behind lane departure warnings, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control. Any time a windshield is replaced, these systems must be professionally recalibrated to factory specifications. Big Rig Glass offers certified ADAS calibration in-shop and via mobile service.
Yes — every installation performed by Big Rig Glass is backed by a warranty. We use high-quality OEM and OEE materials and stand behind our work completely. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
Windshields for Warriors is a program that provides support to veterans in need. Big Rig Glass donates $1.00 for every windshield installed annually to this cause. As a veteran-owned business, giving back to those who've served our country is something we're deeply proud of.

Generally, chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than three inches can be repaired. Anything larger, in the driver's direct line of sight, or near the edge of the glass typically requires a full replacement. Our technicians will assess the damage and give you an honest recommendation — repair when possible, replace only when necessary.
Most installations use fast-cure adhesives that allow you to drive within one hour. However, we recommend waiting the full safe drive-away time recommended by the adhesive manufacturer, which our technicians will communicate to you before you leave. Rushing this step can compromise the seal and your safety.
Yes. Big Rig Glass specializes in RV, motorhome, and bus glass replacement — vehicle types that many standard auto glass shops aren't equipped to handle. We carry RV and bus glass at both our Portland and Wilsonville locations and offer mobile service for large vehicles that can't easily come to the shop.
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) glass is made by the same manufacturer that supplied the glass for your vehicle when it was built. OEE (Original Equipment Equivalent) glass meets the same specifications and safety standards as OEM but is produced by a different manufacturer. Both are high-quality options — our technicians can help you decide which is right for your vehicle and budget.
In many cases, yes. Our wire cut-out removal system is specifically designed to minimize stress on the existing glass during removal, which increases the chances of it being saved for reuse. This is one of the key reasons we don't use power tools or extractors — they almost always destroy the glass in the process.
